The Oriental Academy was legally established with the guidance of jurists, distinguished educationists, and social workers to promote education in a wide range of areas. It is registered under the Government of India and is a legal autonomous and non-profit institution with the right to teach and train in accordance with the provisions of the constitution, The Board periodically sends copies of its bylaws, prospectus, and other relevant documents to various authorities and departments of the Government of India/State Governments and Union Territories. The Board operates extensively throughout India, with examination centers located in most major cities where semester/annual examinations are typically held in May/December. Additionally, the Board is currently planning to establish study and examination centers for foreigners and non-resident Indians in various parts of the world. The primary objective of the Board is to provide education at a concessional fee to the underprivileged and backward sections of society. Furthermore, the Board strives to uphold the vocational and educational rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution of 1950, as per Articles 14, 15, 19(1), 21, 26, 29, 30, 45, 46 & 351.)
